ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Through interactive storytelling, theatre games and music, your child will learn the basic elements of theatre performance. With an immersive and stimulating environment, your child will gain confidence to express themselves in front of an audience, learn how to be an effective team leader and at the same time, a good team player.
As part of our focus on holistic child development, this workshop aims at enhancing your child’s linguistic skills, imagination and creativity, communication skills, motor skills, confidence, teamwork, self-awareness, music appreciation, interpersonal skills.
This specially curated workshop features original live music and storytelling by acclaimed singer-songwriter Jing Wong, and experienced early childhood education professional, Candace Lee.

Workshop fee includes participation of one parent (optional) and one child

JING WONG
Singer-songwriter
Jing Wong graduated with First Honors as a Theatre Designer and Director from London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, and also obtained a Master of Arts in Theatre Directing from the Central School of Speech & Drama.
Jing’s musical talent was quickly noticed by the music community in Hong Kong and was signed to People Mountain People Sea as a singer-songwriter. Jing is currently signed with the record label Frenzi Music.
To date, Jing has released a total of five albums / EPs. Recognised for his song-writing talent, Jing’s songs have been featured in films by Ann Hui and Heiward Mak.
Jing is a prolific performer and has toured 30 cities in China. He has played at noted music festivals in Hong Kong, such as The Clockenflap, Wow and Flutter and Freespace. He was also invited to play in Adelaide's OZAsia Festival in 2016, Zandari Festival and PAMS festival in Seoul 2017.
Jing is a keen educator and has taught young performers regularly in events organised by the Renaissance Foundation and ‘Every Life is a Song’.
Jing’s latest Theatre Concert/Concept Album “A Spy in the House of Love” was released and performed in November 2018, signaling his return to his Theatre roots, where he explores how Music and Theatre can collide in more artistic and creative formats.
CANDACE LEE
Experienced early childhood teacher and music instructor
Candace Lee is an experienced teacher and music instructor how has worked with various NGOs in teaching music therapeutic groups in Hong Kong.
Candace has extensive working experience in the field of early childhood education. With her strong passion in music and firm belief in the therapeutic benefits of music, she is highly sought after as a teacher and in nurturing young souls in different educational settings.
Candace is also an active performer, and was trained by Pete Moser as a community music facilitator. Recently, Candace gave her acting debut at the Hong Kong Mini Children Art Fringe Festival.
