Why STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics?

Science and mathematics not only provide us with useful tools to understand and explain why and how things work, but also play an important role in training logical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills. A strong foundation in science and mathematics is critical for long term success in STEM-related fields.

Through these courses, students will learn to ask questions, develop hypothesis, experiment and analyse data, challenge observations. Students will have the opportunity to dive into topics that are usually beyond the standard school curriculum, gain a greater understanding of the underlying concepts, and build a much stronger foundation to enrich their studies as they return to school. For all classes at Cedar, character development is an integral part of the learning experience.
